No towels and bedsheets provided. Fridge has no freezer. So, we buried our fish and chicken in the snow. The kitchen is also a bit small. However, the house has a large sauna and bathroom. A washing machine is squeezed in the toilet on the ground floor. The staircase to the upper level is a bit steep, not suitable for elderly customers. Internet access on the house is very poor.

This is a location I will never forget. For little money you have a fantastic and quiet location, in the middle of Finnish Lapland. At check-in, I really had a nice feeling, as the woman who helped us did a tremendous job of showing interest in us as people and in our trip around Scandinavia. My name is Finnish/ Scandinavian, and she knew how to tell us that beautifully. A nice experience at check-in already!||The location is very quiet, in the middle of the woods and along the water. AS a nature fan, it was amazing. A location you can dream about. We were here in September 2022 and there was no ice or snow back then, but I can imagine this is a beautiful location even in the winter months.||The room we had was good enough. The bedroom was private and small, but that was perfect because that's all you need. There were 2 beds and a cabinet. The living area was shared space, as was the bathroom. We shared it with a nice guy from Helsinki, with whom we could talk nicely and share our experiences. It is nice in hostel form to meet other travelers as well.||Parking was easy and communication here was great. Note, that there is no restaurant and breakfast is not possible.

Aivan mahtava pieni leirintäalue. Käydään aina pohjoisen reissuilla. Läheisellä harjualueella mahtavat lenkkimaastot mennä koirien kanssa. Paikan pitäjät oikein mukavia.

Just returned from a photography trip in Finland. Travelled from Helsinki to Rovaniemi, Kittila and Enontekiö. ||For the avid photographer, make your way straight to Enontekiö where there is minimum light pollution. This is probably the best place for Aurora sightings. ||You would need a minimum F2.8 wide angle lense with tripod, which is a must and multiple layers of thermal wear as I was shooting with ease at minus 28 degree Celsius. ||1. In Rovaniemi- you can stay in Santa Claus Village which has a shuttle that brings you to town. I took the overnight VR train from Helsinki to Rovaniemi. ||2. Avoid the Apukka Resort which is a photographer's night mare. See my previous post. Extreme light pollution and not worth the price paid. Beware of the "Apukka shortchange" if you are in Rovaniemi as there are a number of such brightly lighted units and the mgt simply don't even care to reply to my last 2 emails to them. Once bitten twice shy @Apukka. ||3. In Enontekiö - You can stay in Hetan kota Holiday village. Wonderful hospitality from the couple owners and the frozen lake is located next to the hotel. This is probably the best place in Finland to shoot the Aurora as it has almost zero light pollution. ||4. For my trip to Enontekiö, we drove there ourselves. It is a straight road and roads in Finland are generally well maintained. Pickup the car at Kittila airport and fly from Kittila airport back to Helsinki thereafter. ||Note : All photos are cropped and shot in Enontekiö - Nikon D7500. SD 11-16 F2.8. Manual focus. ISO 800 - 1500. 5-8 sec exposure with tripod.|

Welch ein schönes Fleckchen Erde. Durch eine persönliche Abholung an der schon geschlossenen Rezeption fühlte man sich dennoch sofort Willkommen. Das Zimmer war klein und zweckmäßig. Für eine Nacht total ausreichend. Das Frühstück war vielseitig und wurde durch die sehr freundliche Mitarbeiterin liebevoll zubereitet und nachgefüllt. Die Natur und Ungebung ist mit Sternen nicht zu bewerten ❤️

My wife and I just spent 3 wonderful nights in this resort. Located right in front of the lake, my wife and I spent time walking on the frozen lake, watching auroras and enjoyed the wonderful hospitality of Titta and her husband. ||||Highly recommended if you are looking for a quiet and serene type of holidays.
